Fathers are the ones to blame when it comes to children fattening up, a study conducted in Australia has shown.
Those kids whose dads play the role of the good one in their family and often let them get away with things their mothers would disapprove of, tend to gain more weight as a result of the occasional pie and ice-cream.
Permissive fathers also tend to let their children eat too much and in many cases their kids are already showing signs of obesity in their early childhood.
Researchers were surprised to find out that the mothers' parenting style didn't have an effect on their children's weight.
