Oops, I think he did it again. The ex-Sofia Mayor Stefan Sofianski is what I mean.

He was elected member of European Parliament's Committee on Regional Development. This Committee in particular is responsible for the European Regional Development Fund and the Cohesion Fund, i.e. large sums of easily accessible money.

Now, what the EP I believe is absolutely aware about is that Sofianski faces several charges of malfeasance in office while he was still mayor of Sofia. Mind you, he was accused of robbing municipality's revenues by selling land on unrealistically low prices in the city for the construction of glitzy business centres. In the meantime citizens believed he was just bribed with a large sum to path the way for these deals. Or at least he lied the municipality for the selling price and filled his pocket wit the rest.

I don't want to believe the EP has such a tin ear for financial frauds, but it seems Brussels is not just with impaired hearing, but also blind. And of course we shouldn't have nominated him for an MEP seat at the first place.

So now Stefan Sofianski can happily hum Britney Spears's famous song "Oops, I did it again".

Attention, Brussels citizens! If you notice an unidentified man around forty, singing to himself "Oops I did it again, I played with your heart" and then "I think I did it again, I made you believe", beware!

Do not fall in financial love with him, because he's not that innocent, yow know, and he's not sent from above, that's for sure.
