Bulgaria's state exchequer has officially re-inaugurated a high-art stained glass ruined in Sofia's WWII bombardment.

The artistic glass mosaic is one of three stained walls of the Bulgarian National Bank's building, completely ruined 30 March 1944.

Sixty-two years later, the central governor Ivan Iskrov reopened the piece of art, overlooking the eastern staircase of the building, to mark the Day of Bulgarian Enlighteners.

The stained glass depicts four of Bulgaria's mightiest rulers from the Middle Ages - Khan Asparuh, Khan Krum, Tsar Boris I and Tsar Simeon The Great.
