Alien Invasion

It's August and everyone wants to be sprawled out on a beach somewhere, so there aren't much news around. It seems that British media have exactly the same problem, so they've started their own little hysteria, dragging us, the poor Bulgarian wannabe-immigrants, in. Nervously biting our nails in hopes of a timely EU entry so that we could storm their not-so-open-door labour market, Bulgarians all have low-cost tickets at the ready. Or so it seems if you take a look at the reports lately. Not to mention the fact that each of us plans to bring a couple of Serbian and Albanian drug traffickers along in the suitcase.

In the meantime Bulgaria's seaside apartments are getting snatched by Brits as if they were discount Prada bags and we're supposedly joyfully wagging our tails while milking the cash cow. When in reality what we'll probably end up with is a bunch of lawsuits by disillusioned farm boys who hoped to cash in on our soft beaches and suddenly realised that they've discovered the wheel...

None of the people I've talked to so far are too eager to go taking the shirts off the back of the poor Brits, who can't afford to work for the money we settle for. So I wonder who's the invader now?
