Society | August 10, 2006, Thursday // 00:00

A German institute has recommended to those who plan to visit Bulgaria to get a Hepatitis A vaccination, Deutsche Welle reported.

It is possible that people get infected with the virus by eating food, which has not passed through enough heat treatment, experts from the Institute of Tropical Medicine Berlin warned.

Drinking from the country's outworn piping is another way of spreading the disease.

The Hepatitis A epidemics, which broke out in some parts of Bulgaria, is what stirred apprehension not only among the experts from the institute, but also among the journalists from the German media.
