"Talisman" restaurant was declared "Top Restaurant of the Year" in the traditional annual competition, organized by Bacchus, the Bulgarian-language gourmet lifestyle magazine.
This is the fifth running year when Bacchus magazine, in partnership with the premium whisky brand Chivas Regal, gives away its awards in a competition which prioritizes the candidates' cuisine, wine list, service, ambience, menu and prices.
The official awarding ceremony of the competition took place at the four-star glitzy Festa Barcelo Premium Sofia hotel and was attended by Spanish Ambassador H. E. Fernando Arias Gonzalez.
"Talisman" restaurant, located in Sofia, took triple honours, winning the first prize in two more categories - cuisine and selection of drinks.
The preferences of Bacchus readers went to Sofia's flagship restaurant Enoteka UNO, a high-class place for connoisseurs of fine wine, French and Italian specialty cuisine.
Fashionable Lavazza Club in the central Vitosha boulevard in Sofia was named the best bar and diner for 2005.
