The Nebettepe hill in Plovdiv is to be transformed into outdoor archeological museum. The project will be the largest in scope ever done in connection with the culture and history of the ancient town. The project, prepared by architect Vera Kolarova, will make Plovdiv the only Bulgarian town with open archeological exhibitions on a territory of more than 8 decares. Among the items on display will be antique sculptures, stone objects and other relics from the collection of the Archeological Museum. According to the projects the approaches to the hill will turn into craftsmen’s streets. Plovdiv Municipality plans to conduct a huge advertising campaign. More than BGN 40,000 are to be invested in the reconstruction.
