The main reason for the failure of Bulgarian squad to qualify for the World Cup 2006 is the poor experience of coach Hristo Stoitchkov, according to a poll of Sofia News Agency.
A legend in Bulgarian and world football, Stoitchkov failed to produce successful results and bring the young hopefuls of the country to the finals in Germany. More than half of SNA's readers consider Stoitchkov is not a good coach.
In such sports where team work is the key for every victory, players should be the ones to praise or blame for the results. A fourth of respondents to the poll of Sofia News Agency said the team players are in bad shape, so no miraculous work of the Golden Shoe holder could be of help.
Yet, another fourth of SNA readers put to blame the Bulgarian sports administration saying it was so awkward as to jeopardize the progress of Bulgarian football talents.
