The president of the Bulgarian Football Union (BFU) Ivan Slavkov vowed his firm support to the coach of the national football team Hristo Stoitchkov.
Stoitckov has been criticized for his nervous behaviour during the September 3 match with Sweden when he received a red card. There were even speculations that Stoitchkov might be replaced.
We do not approve Stoitchkov's behaviour during the game with Sweden, but at present Bulgaria's national team does not need intrigues and speculations, reads an official statement posted on the site of the BFU.
Just a day earlier it appeared that UEFA's President Lennart Johansson approached the organization's Disciplinary Commission over the behaviour of Bulgaria's coach.
