More than 13,160 people have applied in ten days for the new Bulgarian version of Big Brother.
The application process will continue to August 25 and then the producers will have to pick 15 people that will enter the Big Brother house.
For the first edition of the reality show some 14,500 people applied whereas now their number is expected to go up. The second season of the reality show will kick off in September with 15 entrants, unlike the first edition, which included 6 men and 6 women.
As in the first season, the winner will pocket BGN 200,000 (approximately EUR 100,000).
Big Brother's Bulgarian debut enjoyed enormous success and shook the entire media market.
Zdravko Vassilev, a flirtatious bachelor who learned during the show that a girlfriend was pregnant with his child, won the prize in January.
Despite the groundbreaking success of the show, none of the participant managed to maintain a high public interest afterward.
