At least three people were gored and several others suffered scrapes and cuts during the traditional running of the bulls in Spain. Six bulls charged through the medieval streets of Pamplona, chasing enthusiasts to follow fans of the 16th century tradition. The half-mile route runs from a corral to a bull ring. Hundreds of thousands of people converge on this northern city every year to see the bull runs, held every day during the week of July 7-14. The festival was made famous by Ernest Hemingway in his 1926 novel "The Sun Also Rises.''
