The Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum (BBLF), one of the most influential communities in the country, has sent as a wedding gift to Britain's newlywed royal couple an icon of St Menas.

The icon of the saint, honoured in Bulgaria as a patron of the home, has been purchased and consecrated at Sofia church "Cyril and Methodius and their five disciples".

Prince Charles, who tied the knot with Camilla Parker Bowles on April 9, has extended his gratitude to all BBLF members for congratulating him on his marriage earlier this month. The thank-you letter was received by BBLF Chairman Maxim Behar.

"We have deep respect for Prince Charles and are honored to work in association with The International Business Leaders Forum. We wish from the bottom of our hearts that Saint Menas watches over and protect the royal couple," said Maxim Behar.

BBLF brings together 141 major Bulgarian and international companies and is associated with The International Business Leaders Forum of The Prince of Wales. Two years ago, during his visit to Bulgaria Prince Charles met with BBLF members. He highly estimated the achievements of the community, especially the Business Ethics Standard, now signed by almost 1,000 companies across Bulgaria.

Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall are currently in Scotland for their honeymoon. The pair tied the knot in a civil marriage ceremony at Windsor Guild Hall. Police estimated that around 20,000 people were lining the streets of Windsor for the occasion. The Queen, who did not attend the wedding itself, was at the religious blessing, presided over by the Archbishop of Canterbury Dr Rowan Williams.
