Schiavo Supporters Urged to Stay

The family of US brain-damaged Terri Schiavo has urged people supporting their daughter to continue a vigil outside her Florida hospice. Terri Schiavo, 41, who is at the centre of a bitter legal battle, has been without food or water for a week, after courts agreed she should be allowed to die and her feeding tube was removed. Saturday saw the Florida Supreme Court reject an emergency appeal from her parents to keep her alive. Without nourishment, she is expected to die within the next few days.
