Bulgarian clarinet whiz Ivo Papazov, who won the annual BBC Radio 3 World Music Audience Award, has agreed to promote Bulgaria's culture and tourism abroad.
Papazov met Tuesday with Bulgaria's Culture and Tourism Minister Nina Chilova, who invited the music genius to participate in a 2-minute advert promoting Bulgaria abroad. The video will be first aired by the TV channel Euronews in April.
The Bulgarian, described as the greatest clarinet player on the Balkans, chose his song "Nostalgia." Papazov, known also as the King of the Wedding Music explained that "Nostalgia" has been performed all over the world and it has always thrilled the viewers.
Ivo Papazov expressed his gratitude to Minister Chilova who is working towards the promotion of Bulgaria's culture across the world. It is the first time that I am meeting Bulgarian culture minister and I am extremely happy to see such a young person, Papazov said.
Just a day earlier the idea for making Papazov a musical state emblem of Bulgaria was promoted in the air of private bTV channel. The idea was later backed by Minister Chilova.
