Bulgarians prefer to make two-child families, a survey made by the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences showed.
The survey is made on the basis of the 2001 population counting, which showed that the different ethnic groups in Bulgaria have different views on the number of children raised.
The ethnic Turkish in Bulgaria say they do not mind having more than two children. The Roma people rather prefer having big families of three-four and more children.
The Bulgarians currently do not have as many children as they want, the survey also showed. The reasons are different, though the main one is that the families cannot afford to have big families, according to experts.
