Bulgaria's football aces of the legendary Mondial'94 plan to put up Borislav Mihaylov, current deputy of Bulgarian Football Union (BFU), to replace Ivan Slavkov as chief of the association.

The so-called "golden generation" has scheduled a meeting on January 17 in Sofia to discuss the nomination of Bobi Mihaylov, the nation's best goalkeeper for many years, his former full side teammate Yordan Lehckov said Teusday.

Lechkov, who is now a mayor of his hometown Sliven, has repeatedly called for dismissal of Ivan Slavkov after he was involved in the scandal with alleged bidding attempt documented in "Buying the Games" by BBC last August.

King Football is bigger than any of us and all of us altogether, Lechkov told private bTV channel and expressed his belief and that of his colleagues that Bulgarian football needs their skills and experience.
