The small coastal town of Balchik appears to be the most coveted place to organise weddings with a total of 882 marriages held last year.
The number of non-Bulgarian couple to have started their spouse life in the northern Black Sea town is 752, mainly coming from Israel, the online edition Balchik.info reported.
Before preferring Bulgaria, Israelis used to go to get married in Cyprus, as there is no institution in Israel to grant them a civil certificate of marriage.
The wedding ceremony is organised by a Varna-located agency, which is in charge to hire luxury limousines, exquisite restaurants, video operator and any other entertainments. The ceremony is held in Bulgarian language and the organizers provide for a translator.
