Kids parading as dwarfs on Sofia streets heralded the start of Christmas preparations in the capital city. It was enlightened Tuesday evening by the 20-m tall tree, which twinkled in hundreds of electric candles and hand-made decorations in the hearth between the official buildings of the Presidency and the Council of Ministers. Meanwhile, a non-profit green organization announced an initiative that would give Sofia citizens the unique opportunity to be the first to grow a grove of used Christmas trees.
