A calligraphy exhibition was opened Monday in Sofia in the framework of the Japanese Culture Days in Bulgaria, which started in September.

The visitors can enjoy 66 works of prominent contemporary Japanese calligraphists till November 21 in the National Palace of Culture.

Other exhibition will be opened November 13 in the seacoast city of Burgas, dedicated to the project of the enlargement of the city port.

Japanese violinist Temma Atsuko will perform November 24 and November 25 in Sofia.

November 26 and 27 in the National Palace of Culture a demonstration and training in the ancient strategy game "Go" will be offered by The Bulgarian Go Association.

In the beginning of December a lecture on the Japanese cinema will be read by the Japanese film distributor Takashi Niva.

The cultural events mark the 85th anniversary of the Bulgarian-Japanese diplomatic relations and 45 years from their resumption.
