A brilliant lob by Bulgarian striker Valeri Bojinov brought Lecce to 2-2 against Roma on Wednesday evening.
Lecce took the lead in the Serie A action, with Marco Cassetti beating Roma goalkeeper Ivan Pelizzoli in the first half. Hosts Roma caught up after an Antonio Cassano shot, but Bojinov brought Lecce on the lead again five minutes later.
Nevertheless, Roma pulled level in the 72nd minute.
Bojinov has become "one of the surprise packages of an unpredictable season so far," according to Reuters.
The 18-year-old made his debut with the Bulgarian national team a few months ago.
