A small explosion hit the northwestern Spanish city of Santiago de Compostela after a telephoned warning. The alert was released in the name of armed Basque separatist group Eta, state radio reported. The device went off in the Parque de la Alameda in the heart of the city but caused little damage and no injuries, a government spokeswoman said. Eta also warned that another bomb had been planted in a hotel in La Coruna, a city close to Santiago. The hotel was evacuated but no bomb was found.
