Six Wounded in Spanish Head-On Train Collision

The head-on collision of two trains in Spain's northwestern province of Zamora on Friday injured six people seriously, according to Spanish news agency EFE. Another 17 people received minor injuries when one train that had stopped in the station of Linarejos, en route from capital, Madrid, to the northwestern region of Galicia, was hit by another train coming from the opposite direction, Efe said. Judge Monica Ramirez Encinas of the nearby town Puebla de Sanabria will investigate the cause of the accident, EFE said.
