138,000 Bulgarian Workers Volunteer for Athens Olympics

Some 138,000 Bulgarian volunteers have applied for jobs in neighboring Greece during the upcoming Olympic Games, Bulgarian "7 Dni Sport" sportspaper wrote on Wednesday. The paper explains that 60,000 of the candidatures will be approved.

They will leave for Bulgaria's bordering country on the south as assistants to sportspersons and guests of the major event.

Bulgaria has been expecting the Greek Olympics as an opportunity for local tourism entrepreneurs to benefit from the large flow of foreign tourists and journalists to the region.
