Islamist parties in Pakistan provide financial help to the Taleban for attacks in the area, Khaled Pushtun, spokesman for the provincial government of Kandahar in southern Afghanistan said Tuesday. Those attacks aim to destabilize the region, Pushtun said. His statement came amid calls for greater security measures in the border areas between the two countries following another attack on an Afghan Government post by suspected Taleban. However, Afghanistan has good relations with the Pakistani Government, the spokesman added.
