At least four people have been killed and several wounded in an explosion near a police station in western Iraq, Arabic television stations say. The blast happened in the town of Ramadi some 100km (60 miles) west of Baghdad. Eyewitnesses quoted by al-Jazeera TV said all the dead were Iraqi policemen working alongside the US military. The scene has been sealed off by American troops. It was not clear whether any Americans were among the injured. Ramadi is a mainly Sunni Muslim region which has a history of support for ousted president Saddam Hussein.
