Tourism Minister Nikolina Angelova opened Bulgaria's national booth at the International Tourism Fair ITB-Berlin 2019.
Our presence at the biggest tourist fair in the world is of great importance for the presentation of Bulgaria as a year-round destination, the Minister said.
She highlighted the importance of the German market among the generators of incoming tourism in Bulgaria and emphasized the active dialogue of the Ministry with leading tour operators and investors in the Federal Republic. The exhibition is designed for professionals as well as for the general public and is organized since 1966.
Bulgaria is among the oldest participants in it, Minister Angelkova also pointed out. Our country is presenting itself in the exhibition of the National Tourism Promotion Program for the current year. This year's edition will continue until March 10th. Bulgaria participates in the prestigious Berlin Exchange with a national booth of 413 square meters and the number of participants besides the Ministry of Tourism exceeds 40.
At the most prestigious event for the tourism industry will be present over 10 000 co-exhibitors, 110 000 professionals from over 180 countries and around 160,000 visitors and audiences are expected. The exhibition is a leading B2B platform for all international tourism fairs. The Bulgarian ambassador to Bulgaria, Elena Shekerletova, also attended the opening.
