Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović will be on an official visit to Bulgaria today at the invitation of the head of state Rumen Radev, the Presidential press secretary announced.
Among the topics of the meeting of the two presidents will be the opportunities for increasing the trade exchange and the expansion of the economic and tourist relations between Bulgaria and Croatia, as well as the exchange of experience in the sphere of education, science, technology and culture. Rumen Radev and Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović will also discuss regional cooperation in Southeast Europe as well as the European and Euro-Atlantic prospects of the Western Balkans in view of the current Bulgarian presidency of the EU Council and the forthcoming Croatian Presidency in 2020.
From 10.00 on the St. Alexander Nevski Square will begin the ceremony of the official reception of the head of state of the Republic of Croatia. Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović will lay a wreath at the Unknown Soldier's Monument.
The two presidents will hold a tete-a-tete meeting at Dondukov 2, after which the plenary talks of the official delegations of Bulgaria and Croatia will take place. At 11.35, Rumen Radev and Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović will hold a joint press conference.
During her visit, President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović will talk with Prime Minister Boyko Borisov and Tsvetka Karayancheva, National Assembly President.
