Albania's Prime Minister Edi Rama warned Balkan countries are threatened by Russian influence, Macedonian news agency McFax reports, quoted by Focus.
In an interview with the British newspaper The Financial Times, the Albanian prime minister stressed that the Balkans are an important region and that is why Moscow can not be expected to withdraw from it. It is for this reason that the European Union must start negotiations on Albania's accession to its structures, Rama said, adding: "Albania deserves these negotiations to begin."
