Serbia Expresses Solidarity with Ukraine but Remains Neutral on Russian Sanctions

Serbia considers setting up fences along its eastern borders with Bulgaria and Macedonia to stem an influx of migrants from the two countries, Focus News Agency reports, citing local media.
The development is seen as a scenario that could be triggered by a Turkish decision to open its borders to Europe-bound migrants from the Middle East.
According to public broadcaster RTS, the fence will also span to the country's border with Croatia.
The unconfirmed reports come against the backdrop of Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić's assurance, in a reply to a Novinite question, that Bulgarian authorities "did their job" well enough with regard to the migrant crisis, curbing the influx into Serbian territory.
