The outgoing Presidents of Bulgaria and Moldova are set to meet in Chisinau on Tuesday, the head of state's press office has said.

Issues of the European and international agenda, cooperation in the field of EU integration, and bilateral trade exchange will be on the agenda.

Rosen Plevneliev's visit, which will continue through Wednesday, comes at the invitation of his Moldovan counterpart, Nikolae Timofti.

Both heads of state are set to leave office early next year.

On Wednesday, Plevneliev is due to visit the Moldovan region of Taraclia, where he will meet students from the Taraclia state university of Grigoriy Tsamblak.

The city of Taraclia, more than 78% of whose inhabitants were Bulgarian according to the 2004 census, was founded by Bulgarian migrants in the 1910s.
