Sofia Prosecutor’s Office has started an investigation against former Sofia District Governor Veselin Penev over the Tsarski konyushni deal.
Penev resigned after it became clear that he has sold the land under the buildings to a private firm for less than BGN 700,000. The investigation against him is for concluding an unprofitable deal and must be finished within two months, reported the Prosecutor’s Office.
The main focus of the investigation will be the three contracts dated 08,07.2016 signed by the Governor and Evrotransbild, ending the co-ownership of the state and the commercial venture.
