The Bulgarian Pharmaceutical Union has unveiled an electronic map of pharmacies and chemist’s shops in the country to help customers find their way to the nearest point of sale, bTV reported on Tuesday.
The Web-based platform mapteka.bg shows whether the pharmacy operates under a contract with the National Health Insurance Fund, which pays part of the price of prescribed medicines, and whether it stays open round the clock.
The map also shows the shortest route to a pharmacy, which a customer is looking for, as well as contact details of its manager.
