Bulgarian border police and navy will hold a joint training in the bay of Burgas on Sunday.
Bulgarian Interior Minister Rumyana Bachvarova and Defence Minister Nikolay Nenchev are expected to attend the training which is scheduled to begin at 12 o'clock (EET).
Bulgaria's Chief of Defence General Lieutenant-General Konstantin Popov will also be present and Prime Minister Boyko Borisov has also been invited.
The training is aimed at coordinating the activities of the police and army in the event of a heightened migrant pressure in the Black Sea.
Drazki frigate, Panther helicopter, two cutters of the navy as well as border police ship of the regional directorate of border police in Burgas will participate in the training, the defence ministry informs.
This is the latest in a series of drills aimed at maintaining the readiness to react in the event of a heightened migrant pressure, the previous being held on the country's land borders with Greece and Macedonia.
The deployment of the army to the border became possible after the parliament allowed troops to guard the border on equal footing with border police.
