Several people are feared dead after a blast rattled Kizilay district in the central part of Turkey’s capital Ankara on Sunday evening, Anadolu Agency reported.
Several fire-fighting trucks and ambulances were seen rushing towards the area of the explosion, the Turkish news agency said.
According to Turkish broadcaster NTV the blast was caused by a car bomb, but this has not been confirmed, the BBC reported. Several vehicles were on fire in the area of the blast.
At least five people have been killed in the explosion, according to Turkey’s Dogan News Agency, Hurriyet newspaper reported in its English-language online edition.
The explosion took place in the Guvenpark in the K?z?lay district at 6.35 p.m. (1635 GMT), Hurriyet said.
