According to the National Institute for Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH), most of Bulgaria will continue to be gripped by cold weather on Friday.
A yellow code warning for cold weather has been issued for seventeen regions of the country – Dobrich, Gabrovo, Kyustendil, Lovech, Montana, Pernik, Pleven, Razgrad, Ruse, Shumen, Silistra, Sofia, Sofia province, Targovishte, Veliko Tarnovo, Vidin and Vratsa.
The minimum temperatures in these regions will range between minus 15 and minus 10 degrees, while the maximum daily temperatures will not exceed 0 degrees.
Light snowfall is expected in northeastern Bulgaria and parts of the Stara planina mountain range.
There will be light to moderate wind in the Danube plain and the eastern parts of the country.
The minimum temperatures will be between minus 15 and minus 10 degrees, while those in the southeastern part of the country and along the Black Sea coast will be between minus 8 and minus 3.
The maximum temperatures will range between minus 6 and 3 degrees in parts of southern Bulgaria and along the Black Sea coast.
