Musician David Bowie Dies Aged 69

Legendary pop musician David Bowie has died in his sleep after fighting cancer for 18 months.
German daily Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung quotes his publicist as saying Bowie died on Sunday.
A message on his official Facebook page reads: "David Bowie died peacefully today surrounded by his family after a courageous 18 month battle with cancer. While many of you will share in this loss, we ask that you respect the family’s privacy during their time of grief."
Last week Bowie's 27th studio album, Blackstar, was released on January 08.
