EU Population Trends: Bulgaria Sees Largest Decrease

The first science and technology park in Bulgaria – Sofia Tech Park should be completed by the end of the year, with all payments pertaining to it to be made by the same deadline.
This was stated by the Bulgarian Economy Minister Bozhidar Lukarski during the regular question and answer session in parliament on Friday.
The initial deadline for completion of the park was November 15, but it was extended after delays were experienced in coordination procedures between different institutions.
The expenditures on the park, which is funded by an EU project, amount to BGN 85 M, daily Dnevnik informs.
According to Lukarski, no delays are expected on reimbursement of the funds, which would not necessitate allocations to be made from the government budget.
The innovation forum and square infrastructure have already been completed, with construction works still ongoing on the other sites among which are incubator, laboratories, museum, visitor centre, car park.
On Thursday, the progress of the construction works at the park was inspected by Lukarski himself, who was accompanied by Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov, his British counterpart David Cameron and Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev.
