A record number of wineries represents Bulgaria at this year's edition of the largest wine event in the Benelux – Megavino, which takes place in Brussels between October 23 and 26.
The 17th edition of the wine fair represents more than 1000 wines from 35 countries, with 30 000 visitors expected to attend it, daily Dnevnik informs.
Bulgaria is represented by 11 wineries: Alexandra Estate, Angelus Estate, Domaine Bessa Valley, Edoardo Miroglio Wine Cellar, Domaine Boyar, Logodaj Winery, Vinex Slavyantsi, Vinprom Peshtera, Minkov Brothers Wine Cellar and Izba Yamantievi and Asenovgrad Wine Plant.
The Bulgarian stand is the largest one from all 400 stalls participating in Megavino and is centrally located.
More than 90 % of the wineries participating in Megavino have wines, which had been awarded at this year's Concours Mondial de Bruxelles
Megavino brings together importers, producers, representatives of large retail chains, restaurants, hotels and admirers of wine
The interest towards Bulgaria is growing as the country was selected to host the prestigious international wine competition Concours Mondial de Bruxelles.
