Bulgaria: One Dance Week Features Shows from Europe, Asia, Americas

Plovdiv's One Dance Week festival began on October 17, Saturday, with performances from Spain and South Korea.

Six other shows are to be featured until November 01. The next event, Whistleblowers by the Czech Republic's Farm in the Cave project, will be played two times, on both October 23 and 24 (Friday/Saturday).

No theme bonds this year's performances together, but organizers have pointed to the diverse background and nationalities of dance companies that are taking part.

"Between 17 October and 1 November Plovdiv welcomes international artists who are shaping the directions of contemporary dance and performance today. The eighth edition of ONE DANCE WEEK places the audience in the turbulent zone of intersecting artistic approaches and viewpoints," they have said.

More information, including the program itself, with details about forthcoming shows, is available on One Dance Week's website

Tickets are sold at BGN 10, with special Festival Passes, granting access to all shows, available at BGN 40.
