Deadly attacks in Sirnak province, in Southeastern Turkey, are claiming lives of Turkish soldiers and police officers, state-run Turkish Anadolu Agency has said.
Four police officers have been killed and another injured in a roadside bomb, and a helicopter attack has killed a soldier in the same province, the agency reports.
Sirnak is located near Turkey's borders with both Syria and Iraq.
No-one has yet claimed responsibility.
The developments there coincide with a day of attacks in the biggest city Istanbul targeting a police station and the US Consulate.
