Deadly Russian Assault on Odesa Sparks Mourning, Allegations of War Crimes

Turkish fighter jets carried out new series of airstrikes on targets of Islamic State (IS) in Syria and the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in Iraq late on Friday and early on Saturday.
This was announced by the Office of the Turkish Prime Minister on Saturday, Anadolu Agency informs.
Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu held a late-hour high-level meeting on the campaign against the terrorist groups, which was attended by ministers and security chiefs.
The statement revealed that the airstrikes targeted PKK camps, shelters, caves and logistic points situated in the mountainous region of northern Iraq.
At the same time, Turkish land forces attacked IS and PKK targets with artillery deployed near the Turkish border.
The massive police raids against alleged IS and PKK militants, which began on Friday, continued early on Saturday.
In the past two days, Turkish security forces have conducted raids in 22 provinces, detaining a total of 320 suspected terrorists.
The statement expressed the determination of Turkey to “take every step to ensure the peace and security” of its people.
Turkey is in contact with its international allies, including NATO and the United Nations (UN) and is providing information on the military operations.
