Bulgarian Man Arrested for Attempting to Bribe Traffic Police with BGN 20
In Stara Zagora, Bulgarian authorities apprehended a 35-year-old man who attempted to bribe traffic police with a BGN 20 banknote
Bulgaria’s Economy Minister Bozhidar Lukarski has presented investment opportunities in the country to Qatari counterpart Ahmed bin Jassim Al Thani.
The two ministers discussed opportunities for expanding bilateral economic cooperation and increasing bilateral trade at a meeting on Monday, according to the press office of the Bulgarian government.
Lukarski told his Qatari counterpart that Bulgaria could export to Qatar food products, mineral water, cereals and other agricultural goods such as lamb and chicken, medicines, and building materials.
Lukarski underscored that Bulgaria wished to have local engineering and construction companies participate in large-scale infrastructure projects in Qatar.
He also suggested that Qatari companies could invest in the spheres of infrastructure, real estate, agriculture, and tourism in Bulgaria.
During the meeting Lukarski presented the project for the concession and development of the airport in Stara Zagora, as well as investment opportunities at the Trakia Economic Zone, and the National Railway Infrastructure Company.
Qatar’s Minister of Economy and Trade vowed that the projects would be studied carefully.
Earlier on Monday Lukarski and Bulgaria’s Economy Minister Temenuzhka Petkova met with Qatar’s Minister of Energy and Industry Mohammed Saleh Al Sada.
