Co-chair of the right-wing party Reformatorski bloc Radan Kanev stated that there will be a unified policy accepted by the government with regards to employing people in state administration.
''That way employment of ''cousins'' in positions of authority could be avoided,'' stated Kanev in an interview for the Bulgarian National Television (BNT). ''The proposals for the judicial reform made by Minister Hristo Ivanov will be accepted by the government without further amendments and will be subsequently be presented in Parliament.''
The comment was made regarding the debates on the judicial reform in Bulgaria and the known corrupt practice of employing friends and family in the system.
Kanev held a meeting with Interior Minister Rumyana Bachvarova and also reveled that he has had talks on the issue with PM Boiko Borisov and Judicial Minister Hristo Ivanov. He stated that he has received all assurances that the center-right ruling party GERB will support an amendment to the Constitution regarding the judicial reform.
