The cabinet has designated "Bulgaria Air" JSC as the official air carrier for the international route linking Sofia with Baku
Bulgaria’s Energy Minister Temenuzhka Petkova will take part in the first meeting of the Consultative Council on the Southern Gas Corridor project.
The meeting will take place on February 12 in Baku, Azerbaijan, according to the press office of Bulgaria’s Energy Ministry.
The first meeting of the Council will be inaugurated by the Energy Minister of Azerbaijan Natiq Aliyev, while President Ilham Aliyev will greet all participants.
The Council will be attended by representatives of Turkey, Greece, Albania, Georgia, etc.
The concrete stage of implementation of the projects included in the Southern Gas Corridor – the Trans Anatolian Pipeline (TANAP) and the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) - will be presented during the meeting, as well as the second stage of development of the Shah Deniz gas field.
The construction of the Southern Gas Corridor is to bring energy diversification for Bulgaria and the region of Central Europe and Southeastern Europe.
The implementation of the Bulgaria-Greece gas grid interconnection will enable Bulgaria to receive gas supplies from Azerbaijan by connecting Bulgaria’s grid to the TAP.
