Former Energy Minister Delyan Dobrev assessing the likelihood for so-called "Turkish Stream" to be completed. Russia scrapped South Stream in December saying it would build a pipeline to Turkey instead.

Plovdiv, Bulgaria's second-largest city, is located in the country's south while Vratsa and Gabrovo are in the north.
