The size of Bulgaria's GDP has increased by 0.3% over the first quarter of 2014, preliminary data from the National Statistical Institute (NSI) shows.

Compared to 2013's last quarter the economy keeps is slow growth pace.

However, the fresh numbers suggest a revision of the previous projections for 0.2% in January-March made at the beginning of this year.

GDP has gone up 1.2% in Q1 compared to the same period of 2013.

Its amount generated in these three months is BGN 16.097 B (roughly EUR 8.23 B if recalculated into the European currency).

GDP value per capita is BGN 2222 (EUR 1136).

The Gross Added Value (GVA) is BGN 13.772 M, with services (64.%) taking the largest share of it followed by industry (32.7%) and agriculture (2.9%).

Consumption is also on the rise as it increased 1.9% compared to Q4, 2013 and registered a 3-percent grown on a yearly basis.

Exports are up 2.1% in three months and 1.5% in a year, while imports increase by 3.8% and 6.3% for the same periods respectively.
