A nationwide protest under the motto "March of Justice" starts at 11 am on Sunday in front of the main building of the Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski."
The organizers of the protest are the "Early Rising Students", a group of students who started an ongoing occupation of the central building of the Sofia University, demanding the resignation of the socialist-led government and the dissolution of Parliament.
The anti-government rally on November 10 is held on the day marking the 24th anniversary of the end of communism in Bulgaria. This is also the 150th day since the start of anti-government protests in Sofia.
Sunday's rally is to reach the Council of Ministers building and go back, bypassing Parliament building, according to dnevnik.bg.
The protesting students expect to be backed by university lecturers, who are organizing a rally under the motto "We can't go on like this."
A petition in support of the occupation of the central building of the Sofia University has already been backed by 4270 signatures and over 600 lecturers. A counter-petition calling for the termination of the blockade is also gaining steam.
Representatives of the protesting students made clear they would immediately lift the blockade at the Sofia University once Prime Minister Plamen Oresharski resigned.
They also called for the resignation of the President of the University of National and World Economy (UNEW) in Sofia over his stance to the UNWE students backing the occupation.
They also issued a declaration presenting their vision on education, stressing that education was essential in the battle for achieving a new level of integrity in politics because it created politically literate and independent citizens who were capable of critical thinking.
At 5 pm on Saturday, a concert will be held in front of the St. Alexander Nevski Cathedral under the motto "Lift your eyes: stop to the pseudo-transitional years."
