Vasil Marinov, Defense and Security Advisor of Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev, has filed his resignation.

Both Yovchev and Marinov said they were leaving office for personal reasons.
According to reports of Sega daily, citing information from the President's press office, Marinov submitted his one-month notice more than two weeks ago.
Marinov was appointed Defense and Security Advisor of Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev on March 21, 2012.
Marinov has held senior posts at the Interior Ministry, National Security Service, and the State Agency for National Security (DANS).
