At Least Four Dead, Dozens Evacuated in Huge Valencia Apartment Fire
A devastating fire tore through a 14-story apartment building in Valencia, Spain, claiming the lives of at least four individuals and injuring 14 others
At least 80 people have been killed and some 800 have been injured after an eight-storey building collapsed on the outskirts of the Bangladeshi capital Dhaka.
A total of 76 bodies have been recovered so far from the debris of the nine-storey Rana Plaza in Savar, near Dhaka.
The eight-storey building contained a clothing factory, a bank and several other shops. It collapsed during the morning rush hour, the BBC informs.
Thousands of local people have joined the rescue effort, disrupting the traffic on a highway near Rana Plaza. Four army teams have also joined the rescue operation, according to RIA Novosti.
The last major building collapse in Bangladesh was in 2010, when a four-storey building collapsed in Dhaka, killing at least 25 people and injuring several others. In 2005, there was a building collapse near the site of Wednesday's incident, killing 64 people.
