Bulgarians will sooner or later recognize the importance of the ruling centrist-right GERB government, Prime Minister Boyko Borisov vowed Friday.
"Years will pass - 10, 15, 20 - and then, people passing by the Sport Hall, using the subway and driving on the highways will appreciate us for our courage when we defeated these vile, these hideous attacks and had our nerves left in shreds - but not in vain," Borisov declared before his Council of Ministers, according to the Dnevnik daily, thus defending the efforts put by his cabinet into key infrastructural projects.
"The (Bulgarian) people are grateful, they usually show their recognition later, but they still do it," he said.
Upon receiving the news that more Bulgarian priority projects (highways and high-speed thoroughfares) have been included in the Trans-European Road Network, Borisov told Regional Development Minister to "make copies of that map the size of windows" and distribute them to all Ministers and high officials.
